1  Background

The structure and properties of Nifursol are similar to those of other nitrofurans. Nifursoxol rapidly metabolizes once it enters the animal body. However, Nifursol metabolites (called 2-hydroxy-3,5-dinitrobenzohydrazide, DNSAH) bind tightly to proteins and remain for a long time in the body. Nifursol metabolites have carcinogenic and teratogenic effects.

2  Principle

DNSAH(Nifursol metabolites) ELISA kit is a competitive ELISA for the quantitative analysis of DNSAH in the Pork,Beef, Fish, Shrimp, Chicken, Duck tissue, etc. 

The coupling antigens are pre-coated on the micro-well stripes. The DNSAH in the sample and the coupling antigens pre-coated on the micro-well stripes compete for the anti-DNSAH antibodies. After the addition of the enzyme conjugate, the TMB substrate is added for coloration. The optical density (OD) value of the sample has a negative correlation with DNSAH concentration in the sample. This value is compared to the standard curve and the content of the corresponding DNSAH is subsequently obtained.

Enzyme immunoassay (ELISA) is widely used as a screening system, which is more simple, rapid, sensitive and cost-effective compared with HPLC or GC-MS.
