Main Components and Content

The main component of this product is Brucella S2 strain (CVCC70502) or S2 andA99 strains (CVCC70502 and CVCC70203). The content is such that it shows a plate agglutination reaction with 1:45 diluted standard positive serum, but does not show a plate agglutination reaction with 1:55 diluted standard positive serum.

Appearance

Uniform suspension. After standing for a long time, the upper part becomes clear and a small amount of sediment is present at the bottom.

Function and Application

It is used for the diagnosis of  brucellosis through the rose bengal plate agglutination test.

Usage and Judgment

Mix 0.03mL of the serum to be tested with 0.03mL of the antigen and observe the result within 4minutes. Any reaction of + or above is judged as positive. For animals showing a positive reaction, further complement fixation tests or other diagnostic tests must be conducted.

Agglutination reaction judgment criteria:

(1) ++++ Large agglutination masses or particles appear, and the liquid is completely transparent.

(2) +++ Obvious agglutination particles are present, and the liquid is almost completely transparent.

(3) ++ Relatively obvious agglutination particles are observed, and the liquid is slightly transparent.

(4) + Slight agglutination can be seen, and the liquid is turbid.

(5) - No agglutination, and the liquid is uniformly turbid.
