UNATP II is a user-friendly, all-in-one kit for detecting bacterial ATP through bioluminescence measured by any compatible luminometers in the market, e.g, Hygiena Ensure/plus or 3M CleanTrace luminometers. This pen-sized kit is fitted with patented sample collection device for collecting water. In just 15 seconds, Scithera II helps to verify the cleanliness of environmental surfaces and medical equipment.
Note:
RLU (100fmol ATP) is tested by collecting 100 μl of 1 x 10-9 M ATP solution in the case of the water tests, and adding 10μl of 1 x 10-8 M ATP solution onto the swab in the surface tests.
RLU stability after 15s means the percentage of the second RLU read by the meters over the first RLU read. The time interval between the second read and the first read is 15 s.
Detection principle:
The sample is collected by the water collector or the swab attached to the kit. ATP inside bacteria is released by the bacterial lysis buffer in the kit reaction tube. After mixing with the luciferase-luciferin solution in the kit bulb, luminescence is generated. The luminescence intensity measued by a portable luminometer is correlated to the concentration of bacteria in the sample.
Limit of Detection: 1x10-15 mol ATP with a suitable luminometer.
Shelf Life: 15 months at 2 ~ 8 ℃ in dark.
